Senior midfielder Hannah Farr 1st goal in her career was enough for the Cardinal to beat USC 1-0 on Sunday at McAlister Field in Los Angeles. USC Trojans was in their home turf but that didn't stop the Stanford Cardinal women’s soccer (11-1-2) in getting the win.
USC Trojans have recently changed their coaching staff, they are now coached by Keidane McAlpone who was with Washington State last year.
Even though the score was 1-0, the game was not close at all. The Stanford Cardinal’s offense dominated the game, they were able to create multiple opportunities to score that gave them 20 attempted shots. Their defense was also dominant, they have held the Trojans to without a shot until the 66th minute. USC’s goalkeeper Caroline Stanley was so busy that she was able to save 6 shot, while the Trojans had only two tries which was saved by Stanford’s sophomore goalkeeper Jane Campbell.
