Newcastle United F.C. Manager Alan Pardew was thrown out for headbutting Hull player David Meyler. Meyler initiated the contact when he pushed Alan Pardew so that he can retrieve the ball for a throw-in. Pardew blew it and tried to headbutt David Meyler.

Though David Meyler wasn't successful in headbutting Meyler, it was enough to get himself thrown out. Meyler was also tagged with a yellow card for instigating the contact.

Newcastle prevailed and routed Hull City 4-1. After the game, Pardew told reporters: "I tried to push him away with my head and I shouldn't have done that. My team were terrific and it's only myself who had a poor performance."
