San Antonio FC Ties Sacramento Republic FC

San Antonio FC bounced back from its first loss of the season by tying Sacramento Republic FC. It was forward AJ Ajeakwa’s goal in the 31st minute that evened things at 1-1 tie Saturday against Sacramento Republic FC in a United Soccer League match before 11,569 at Papa Murphy’s Park in Sacramento, California. It was off a pass from midfielder Kris Tyrpak. Tyrpak was able to slipped pass behind the Sacramento that Ajeakwa, who nearly stumbled on the play, put to the left post past Sacramento goalkeeper Evan Newton.

San Antonio FC improved to 10-1-5 (35 points) and is now in second place in the USL Western Conference, only two points behind Real Monarchs SLC (12-2-1, 37 points), which lost to the Tulsa Roughnecks FC 2-0 on Saturday.

Sacramento made the first goal when Emrah Klimenta ran onto a pass from Danny Barrera and put a shot inside the right post past San Antonio FC goalkeeper Lee Johnston.
